This card is for today's wonderful sketch challenge as well as today's Alphabet Challenge. This round we are focused on locations and are on the letter O. Of course I went with Oregon! Oregon's state flower is the Oregon Grape and their state insect is the Oregon Swallowtail. This flower and butterfly are the closest in my collection to the Oregon Grape and Oregon Swallowtail.
I dry embossed the two black corners with the Fern embossing folder adding a strip of gold mirror to each. I stamped my floral image with Momento Tuxedo black and then colored it with Copic markers. I did extend the floral stem to the edge of the panel.
I stamped my butterfly on Daffodil Delight cs and fussy cut it. It is added to the flowers by gluing only the butterfly body down. I heat embossed the sentiment and added it with foam tape.
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

Your card is such a lovely tribute to Oregon! The incorporation of the Oregon Grape flower and Oregon Swallowtail butterfly is a wonderful nod to your state. The dry embossed black corners with the gold mirror strips add such an elegant touch to the design, and the coloring of the floral image with Copics is beautifully done!
