This card started with a small rectangle of fabric, backed with cardstock, that I had leftover from something. To go with it, I went through my bag of blue paper scraps until I found some pieces that matched.
After deciding on an arrangement that I liked, I stuck the paper scraps to a gray cardbase. The outermost paper is ancient construction paper that I pressure-embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The floral strip is a piece of leftover dollhouse wallpaper that I inherited from my mom. And the slightly metallic paper is a scrap from an ancient DCWV pad.
Since the inspiration for the card was a piece of fabric, I decided to use it to showcase a special button. I stitched a vintage button to the fabric with embroidery thread, and then attached the fabric to a gray rectangle. Finally, after attaching that to the card, I was finished.

Love the vintage button focal point of your card. Your EF has that vintage vibe as well. I have a friend who collects buttons and has some amazing ones. This reminds me of her.
