By now, I'm sure some of you are wondering -- does this woman ever stamp anything? And the answer is, not nearly as much as I used to. But, when I heard that this week's Teapot Party theme was wind, I immediately thought of this old stamp. I got her unmounted, a long time ago, and no longer remember who made her.
I started by stamping her with black pigment ink on white cardstock. Then I embossed her with black powder, so the ink wouldn't run when I colored her. Normally, I use her as an Autumn image, but I wanted to make a more seasonal card. So I paired her with a piece of floral paper from Graphic 45's "Fairy Wings" collection.
Then, trying to match the colors on the paper, I colored her with markers. Because I wasn't quite sure what was going on with her dress/cape, I just did patches of color, and tried to blend them a little without making the colors muddy.
After the coloring dried, I used an oval die to cut her out, and a slightly larger one to make a light green frame around her. Then I assembled everything on a light green cardbase. Finally, as a finishing touch, I added the flower gems and the "Believe" sticker in the top right corner.

Super pretty image and colors! Very lovely card.
I never think about you not stamping - a card is a card no matter how we get there.

You have the most amazing paper collection - and ability to use the busier patterns which I find hard to put to use. And what a lovely image. I hear you on sometimes not being sure where dresses and capes meet, I have a couple of stamps like that. The swirling colours was a great solution.

Your attention to detail is incredible! The way you've colored and framed the stamp perfectly complements the floral paper from the "Fairy Wings" collection. The final touches with the flower gems and the "Believe" sticker add such a charming elegance to the card.
