Today's Inspiration site is Rent the Runway. . . What I need is a card for a 12 yo boy and this site is dedicated to women's fashions & accessories . . .Thus began my "journey of faith".
I wandered through pages of clothing and finally ran across this shirt & shorts. I liked the bands of color with the repeating design! So, no flowers for a boy but I thought hexagons might be fun - I inked the inside of the honeycomb EF with rainbow colors, spritzed with water and "stamped" it onto glossy cardstock. While that dried, I die cut a yellow circle and doodled a smiley face and dark glasses. Computer generated my sentiment, printed on vellum then die cut & framed as a hexagon to overlay on the bg. Added my Cool Smiley and finished with balloon sequins for added fun.

Will be favouriting this! I have a great nephew turning 10 this summer. Love this idea! Your background looks fabulous for this purpose but would look great for almost anything. :-)

What a beautiful background. It's a great card for a 12 year-old boy. You did a great job on that smiley face. I especially like those cute little balloon sequins.
