This was actually my first attempt - I inked Medallion up with several DOX inks, stamped on a half sheet of card and cut in half down the centre. I had already decided I wanted to stamp the flower stamp over it, but on this first attempt I didn't position it very well - the edges of the floral stamp were positioned over the medallion, and looked odd. Rather than throw the pieces out, I trimmed flush along where the edge of the floral image was. Then I cut the remaining wide strip which had just the medallion in two, and used that a border on each side. Again because of the original position of the floral stamp I had a lot of white space, so after adding the die-cut sentiments at the bottom, I stamped a profile butterfly onto the card and onto vellum. The vellum one is coloured from the underside with Sharpies, and then has Stickles on top. I added a bit of Liquid Pearls for dimension for the bodies.

These are gorgeous! That open floral stamp is perfect with that smattering of color and design behind it. I love the soft mellow colors you chose as well. I think you had a happy accident as the strips down the sides add to the overall design for me. I love these.
