Denise has given us Polly P's Pinterest boards for inspiration today - boy did I get lost looking through all that fun stuff!
But I once again needed inspiration for a birthday card a friend ordered - for two of her grown son's birthdays coming up in April.
I have tons of Tim Holtz stamps and dies - so many not even used - so I looked in Polly's Tim Holtz pins and this caught my eye.
Because I have the same dog stamps and dies and I have frame dies.
As I was creating the card, I was looking through dog sentiments that I have, and I found the one I used on this card - my girlfriend has two dogs so this was perfect.
I colored the dogs in similar colors as the two dogs my friend has - added the ball and Andy's name.
I put glossy accents over the dogs eyes. The background DP has dog paws on it - not sure you can see it?
Inside I stamped " Yappy Birthday to You", stamped and die cut the dog dish of food from the set, colored it and die cut a small candle to put in the dish!
I have to make another one now for his brother Tyler - they don't live near each other so they won't know that they got the same card from their mum!
Thanks for the inspiration Denise and Polly!!

You can't fail with a Tim H stamp especially the crazy dogs. Fantastic design with the white frame and the tiny paws bg. Great idea to make two cards. I do that too if I like how my first one turned out and the parties won't be comparing cards. lol

I love your doggies and their fabulous birthday wishes. I had to browse the TH file too, but the Mixed Media one captured an idea that could use up more stuff I had handy. LOL, course I used two Tim Holtz elements on my card as well. Love his stuff and I love Polly's fun and unique style of art that she so generously shares with us here.

This is so adorable, Julia. I love how you personalized the cute dogs and the sentiment is perfect. You have inspired me to revisit some of my older Tim Holtz stamps and dies.
