I saw the CAS challenge was cake and knew I wanted to do this simple watercolor cake. Then I saw the CC challenge and knew I wanted to do blueberry cake. Somewhere along the way, I decided to add icing. That is when things went a bit crazy. IRL this icing is super dazzling!

This looks so luscious and the crazy part actually brings back fun memories. When I was growing up, my family had a cabin in northern Wisconsin. Away from the river was a burned out area that was perfect for blueberries and we spent many hours picking them. One of our favorite ways to eat them was to bake a cake, cover it with a thick frosting and throw blueberries at it to stick. It was a party of giggling and your joyful cake looks just as fun.

I would certainly line up for a slice of blueberry cake, Nancy, especially with the look of that icing! Your cake on the stand looks fabulous, Nancy, love this!

Wonderful blueberry cake for both challenges, Nancy. The icing looks great and IRL I can believe it is dazzling. Love all the little gem "blueberries " on the top.
