This card is for today's sketch challenge 1000 - 1000! Can you believe it? And also for today's Alphabet Challenge letter L for Louisiana (we are focused on locations this round).
I created the background using Simon Says Stamp's Stepped Back Blocks layering stencils in Mardi Gras colors and added a diagonal path of music notes because Louisiana is known for Mardi Gras and also for music.
I die cut my circle and stamped my coffee cup coloring it with Copics. I colored it like the coffee cups at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans and I can just taste the yummy beignets I would have with the coffee! A must stop if you make it to New Orleans! I cut my Daffodil Delight pieces and stamped the sentiment on them. For ease of mailing, all layers are adhered flat.
I stamped my music notes inside as well along with an inside sentiment.
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

Cool background. I love, love this color combination; it's so bright and cheerful. The stencil makes such an eye-catching backdrop to your coffee cup element.
