When I saw that this week's Tea Party recipient is proud of his Irish heritage, I immediately thought of the printed Irish blessing that I cut out from something long ago. So I trimmed off the part that mentions God (since Mike isn't religious) and framed it with some gold scrap paper.
The next thing I thought of was a pack of stickers I recently got from Etsy (CherryMoonFactory's "Forest Elf" collection), which had a bit of an Irish vibe to it. From them, I selected the lantern with white flowers.
For the background, I chose an ancient sheet of scrapbook paper from Creative Imaginations. After sticking everything to that, I thought that the left side needed a bit of gold to balance the gold on the right, so I added the strip of scrap.
Finally, I added the little gold shamrock, which is a piece of old, broken jewelry. And that's it! I hope Mike likes his card.

"that's it" does't sound like a lot but it is and this card is a lot of beautiful. Love the bg paper and how beautifully it shows off the lantern. I'm sure it would have looked fine as is, but that strip of gold down the left side definitely adds some pizzaz as does that cute shamrock. Fabulous card.

Lovely greens, and the lantern is fabulous. Great card for Mike.

You have an amazing collection of both stickers and papers - and the ability to find what you are looking for! I remember someone who used to be on SCS who moved over here to live saying that she had never understood the line about "the wind always at your back" until she moved her and saw all the "dead" umbrellas that get abandoned on a windy day. That ivy DP with a hubby if carved stonework behind it is lovely.
