I would say both challenges are very fortuitous for me today. I was commissioned by my brother to make a birthday card for my sister in law's birthday which is February 27. I made three and this is the one he chose. His specifications were: 1) birds 2) flowers 3) her name on the front. That was the challenging part, as I don't have many letter dies and I wasn't sure how to fit them in. I didn't put the letters on until my brother chose the card. I'm visiting my brother right now and am glad I brought the cards up with me.
I stamped everything in white pigment, then used Gamsol and colored pencils. A little splattering with metallic watercolor and a sentiment finishes it off.
Thanks for the challenges!!

So pretty stamped in the white and colored with your pencils - the dots embossing adds so much texture and the letters in tan look nice against the black! I'm sure your SIL loves this personal card!

Very pretty card! The images are very striking against the black background, and you did a wonderful job coloring them in. I especially like your colorful hummingbird. Thanks for sharing!
