I've been looking at this for a couple of days, trying to doctor it up so it's not too bad. I do have another one started so will likely try again. In the end I just put a sentiment panel with a ribbon to distract from the one note watercoloring. I did add a light blue wash in the sky and lake with a little swirl of gold watercolor in the water. It's subtle and shows better in person.
Bottom line is that I need to be painting more frequently. Thanks for looking.

It is great, Kathy. I like your sequin looking just like the sun. You made an awesome birthday card. Your scene looks very peaceful and I can just hear the bird noises in the sky.

I love this, I think you did a great job! I especially love the gems, and it looks to me like your reflections are terrific! I really love this, and think it's turned into an absolutely terrific card!
