I used this video to see the process, but cut out about 5 sets of bird parts, put the different pieces in an egg carton and then colored all at once, assembly line, before assembling. I used this video to learn how to color

Distress Oxide Ink Colors
⢠Gathered Twigs:
o both base layers
o second and fourth layer of the female bird
o eye detail on female bird
o leg feathers
⢠Black Soot:
o the male birdâs face
o both birdsâ beaks
⢠Hickory Smoke for grey areas on male, including his feet
⢠Aged Mahogany for chestnut belly area on male
⢠Pumice Stone for warm grey on female, including her feet
⢠Speckled Egg for male birdâs pale face outline
⢠Black Sharpie and Glossy Accents for eyes
For the background, I used SU Crumb Cake for the brush. Then I ran it through the leaves embossing folder.
