I was in the process of excavating the piles in my craft room and came across the embossed panel and the colored and fussy cut medallion. The challenge was to create a card for Maggie who is proud of her Irish heritage. I layered the embossed panel onto mirror gold cs, then onto the green metallic base. I glued the medallion onto the embossed panel (Note: the panel is made from Softy White cs- which has a fibrous, felt-like texture, and was colored with Pixie Powders before running through the Big Shot in the embossing folder). I had to use a liberal amount of Aleene's Jewel It to stick the medallion firmly down on the textured surface. I embellished with green Dazzle dots. Then I tried to stamp & die cut the sentiment. Alas, it's one of those it's nearly impossible to get the die in the right place over the stamped image, so instead I had to die cut the shape, then position the stamp in the stamping platform, and stamped it three times for good coverage. It's times like this when I have trouble understanding WHY I resisted getting a platform for so long.

That medallion was absolutely perfect for an Irish-leaning card, how great that you had it there ready and we able to put it to good use. It fits well into the centre of that embossed panel, which reminds me of the detailing on so many Celtic crosses. Cool sentiment - even has a clover/shamrock rather than the heart I would have expected with "love".

HaHa, I know what you mean about the platform Pat. I resisted for quite awhile too and now I can't stamp without mine. And it certainly came in handy here. Your greens are beautiful and I love the embossing. It really shows off that gorgeously colored medallion to its fullest. Wonderful card.
