Funny thing about Ground Hog Day....it will always be 6 weeks until spring. Now, the questions is, what will the weather be like for the next 6 weeks and after???? That, my friends, is the question. Except for one week in early January, this winter has been unexceptional, kind of like an extended fall and now, early spring. Most of the snow is gone, the sun was out yesterday, I took a stroll, walked on ice that cracked beautifully and had water underneath it (my favorite thing to do!). I love anticipating spring but it isn't helpful to be too hopeful about the weather. We've had snow in WI in early May.
So, after that long lecture, I did one of each season. The bunny in the snow on the left is for this week's WCW challenge; the one on the right is an upcycling project, using an old notecard and making something new of it. The old notecard consists of the circle in the middle and the borders at the top and bottom. All other elements were added. Thanks for the challenge, MariLynn!

My father used to say" if it isn't raining, the sun will shine"... We don't have any snow here and I really miss it, but >I love Spring too, your Winter bunny looks great and your Spring design too

Fabulous bunny, Jean. Great soft shadows and wonderful sentiment.
Elegant upcycled Spring card too. Great patterns and gold touches.
Correct points on winter.

Two beautiful cards! I love your spring motif, using the beautiful mossy greens, and the heat embossed gold edges are fabulous! Your winter bunny is also amazing, with that gorgeous deep sky.

Both spring and winter. So beautiful. Love the sky on your bunny card and the butterfly on your spring card is so pretty. Thanks for playing my challenge.

Oh, I like cracking ice over water too. Very photogenic. Your watercolour rabbit is really beautiful, enough to make me say I prefer your winter even though I am definitely on team Spring. I've seen my first daffodils by the roadside lady week, even before January was over.
