I haven't done paper weaving for many years and it was a lot of fun. The little birds have nests of cheese cloth. I used an unusual die to for the background, namely Simon Says Stamp So Many Candles. I love to use dies in ways they might not have been intended for.
Apply Distress Ink to a non-stick craft sheet in an ombre pattern and mist with water. Press watercolor paper into the ink. Let dry and repeat until you are happy with the look. Die cut candles from the papers. Use one set of candles as a loom and cut the second into strips. Weave the strips into the loom. Trim the edges and mount on kraft paper. Wrap twine around the edges.
Mount with foam tape on a card base. Die cut the birds from scrap papers and assemble. Make a little nest with cheese cloth and adhere with foam tape.
Thank you so much for looking!
Happy stamping!
