I love the colors chosen for this week and the dessert of 'sunflowers' is guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone's face. It's stormy here (57 right now and heavy rain) in Northern California and these colors sure brightened my day.
I like to emboss my images with clear ep because I think it helps define them better and used Rich Cocoa for the outline. I then colored with my blends and since I didn't have Crushed Curry, I went ahead and subbed out with Mango Melody instead--it went really well I think. I double stamped and slightly offset the background stamp and think that little bit made a world of difference. The shadow part was stamped with GKD 'Amalgam Ink' and it really worked well as a neutral shadow.
I hope you are all staying warm where you are and these pretty sunflowers help brighten your day! Thanks for looking! Hugs!

Beautiful sunflowers! I like how the petals extend beyond the edges of the layers. The die-cut HUGS is terrific. Great use of the challenge colors! Fabulous card.

Your sunflowers are very pretty, like a ray of sunshine to brighten anyone's day! A delightful card indeed! Where I live, today's high was 22 and windy with a low of 6, so consider 57 to be a "heat wave"!

If you didn't mention how you double stamped the background in the steps of how you made this lovely card, I would have missed that detail. Well done =)
