It's been a while since I got stamping time on a Friday - we worked quite a few in the run-up to Christmas. I fitted this in around the housework with drying time required between layers.
I instantly thought of Roses in Winter, so I brushed a piece of white card with whatever was on my yellow and green brushes to soften it a bit, and then stamped my background. I was afraid that the DOX inks would bleed when I added the varnish, so I sprayed with fixative. Then added two layers of satin varnish. Die-cut a multi-circle die and nested two together. Tried a couple of birds and butterflies, which didn't work, so I die-cut some flowers from watercolour paper and coloured them with Twinkling H2Os. The foliage was cut from I think a bread/baking soda background. Added a sentiment cut from gold glitter card, and that's it.
Both the loose florals and the satin varnish are my chintz elements.
