I had to make time to join in the WT Challenge- You're Tea-riffic. Polly asked us to use tea to dye our paper. I used a teabag to dye the distress paper and then stamped the DD Book Journal onto it, using Vintage Photo ink. I then stamped the DD pansies using the Tea Rose ink. Fussy cut the book journal and inked the edges with tea dye DI. I inked the tea rose onto vanilla c/s to use as bg panels for the Dp and book journal. Stamped the sentiment and used the tea dye ink for the edges. Found this little girl in a packet of Tim Holtz people. Cut her to make her smaller and added tea rose ink and Tattered Rose Distress Ink to her dress and bow. I adhered her, and the book journal using Dimensionals. I added the seam binding and little heart to the sentiment.

Super cute Sue. I love vintage but am not good at putting it together like you are. After looking at this lovely card I will have to give it another try. Very humid here today. Feels like I am walking around with a thunder storm cloud over my head. Not used to humidity like you would be.

That DD journal stamp is so cool...it looks like the real thing. I love the color theme on this and how it goes so well with a distressed tea dye palette. And of course that girl is the star..so sweet with her big bow. Cute!!

What a lovely design! Your ribbon and heart play right into the vintage feel. I really like the journal image. You had a lot of patience to cut around all the spirals!

What a lovely card! I love the vintage image you used, and your overall color scheme, with the pinks and browns, is soothing and just so beautiful! So many wonderful layers, thoughtfully laid down, you did a wonderful job!

This is wonderful and I had not seen a book journal stamp before....that is fabulous. Love your vintage paper in the background. Wonderful birthday card using the tea dye technique.
