Karen is our hostess im the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some soft, pretty pastels: Bubble Bath, Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam. The dessert option is Vanilla Cardstock. I substituted Pistachio Pudding cardstock for Soft Sea Foam, which seems to be out of stock in my craft room!
Y'know, some weeks I have my card completely made in my head before I start translating the design to paper. Other weeks, I have at least a general plan. Not this week! I went to my craft room with nary an idea! So I rummaged through a couple of kits that I hadn't ever used, and came up with this window frame and a piece of DS paper that's similar to Pool Party. That gave me a starting point. I added a couple of die-cut flowers, some leaves, and a gold foiled sentiment, and mounted all on a Very Vanilla card base, and it was done!
These colors are so pretty together, I can't wait to see what beautiful cards appear in the gallery! Please join us!

I Love the way you distressed your window to make it appear old! Then seeing the beautifully shaped blooms growing on it is Perfection! You rocked these challenge colors~

So pretty Barbara- the window frame reminds me of something you would see on a drive through the country. A lovely way to let someone know you are thinking of them, and no special occasion is involved.
