For this week's TLC981, to do a debossed embossing folder technique. I have a Recollections Christmas paper pack called Starry night. In it were two 12x12 sheets of large tags. I am making some into bookmarks, but the paper needs reinforcing, so I am using the white backs of the more obviously Christmas ones for techniques. The other side of this bookmark was just edged with a design at the bottom, so I stamped it with a vertical scripture stamp.
I smudged most of the white tag with a variety of distress ink colours, put it in the ef on the wrong side, so that it was debossed. Then scraped a dark starry sky ink pad over it, so all is dark except for the debossed image.

Beautiful embossing folder - it looks great with the technique. The colours remind me of a Kaffe Fasset sweater which I always wanted to make but couldn't afford the right wool to get the same colours. Well done on using those tags up!

I think this turned out great. I love how the bright colors show up on the flowers against that lovely blue bg. I think you'll be a big hit if you make a slew of these and pass them out to friends. Wonderful bookmark.

Lovely EF and bookmark Ina. I never thought to try swiping another colour other than black. I must remember that. The flowers remind me of fireworks.
