Here is my card for yesterday's Teapotter's Choice Tea Party. My cousin Claire's family had given me her stamps and ink. So I decided to use her stamps to make a card for her husband and one of her daughters. This week's color challenge was perfect to use for it, because Claire like purple. I stamped a background of cameras onto some cardstock that resembled Highland Heather. Then I die cut it and put it on a piece of MFT Cement Gray cardstock - close enough for Smoky Slate. I dug through my drawer of scraps for a piece that resembled Balmy Blue. I stamped the word "memories" on a piece of it and applied Elizabeth Craft sticky tape to the rest of it. Then I covered it with some glitter that had also been Claire's, and die cut the word "sweet" and the small heart. Polly challenged us to features something round, so I die cut a black circle to go behind the sentiment. But the cameras also have a lot of round lenses and such. This card is especially perfect for my cousin Jenny. She inherited Claire's love for photography and captures beautiful memories with her cameras.

Fabulous. I think you have honored Claire in such a unique and special way. Love your montage of cameras and I bet your cousin, the photo buff, will adore this. Love that you added her glitter as well. Great design. Now, the big question...did you add a bunch of confetti to the card?

Fantastic! Love the cameras and your layout & design. Wonderful use of the challenge colors. Great card. How fun to play with new stamps. Love the touch of sparkle, too.

I did not know Claire had passed and just went back to see your post with the pic of Claire and her 9th grandchild now. It is good to know she loved all the cards made for her. And this one you have just made will be well received by her family. So sorry for your loss.
