Diane is hosting our color challenge this week with the soft colors: Balmy Blue, Highland Heather and Smoky Slate. Dessert is sparkle.
I stamped my reflecting scene once in Balmy Blue and then applied Highland Heather ink with a sponge dauber and stamped it a couple of more times to add a purple haze. The card base and greeting are in Smoky Slate. I did add a light layer of Wink of Stella to highlight the white on white wreath but didn't think any more sparkle than that would be appropriate for a sympathy card. Fortunately I don't have an immediate need for this but it's always good to have some in the stash. The inside greeting on this one is "To remember is to give life to those we've loved and lost". I added this set to my stash because of the words but really ended up loving the delicate scene too.
Thank you so much for taking a peek. I hope your holidays were all you hoped for and 2024 gets off to a good start. It would be grand to have you join us for the challenge!

So very pretty. I ordered this set but have not tried it yet. Love how you made it work with the challenge colors. The die-cut window is lovely. A beautiful, heartfelt card to have on hand. When sympathy cards are needed is when they are the most difficult to make, it seems. Nicely done!

Wow, Chris, this is stunning! Sympathy cards are so hard to make (I think because of all the emotion involved), but you really created something beautiful with this one!
