My card is for Leslie aka Stamples, Featured Stamper this week. She is such a wonderful team player joining in so many of the challenges and making beautiful cards.
I was inspired to make my card after seeing this pretty cardinal card Stamples made: A splattering of Christmas by Stamples at Splitcoaststampers We both used a digital image of a cardinal. I watercolored my card. Mine isn't framed as hers is but I just used a layer of watercolor paper. She did splatters on her background and I did a wash.
Enjoy your week as Featured Stamper, Leslie. I always enjoy your watercolors and other wonderful cards you create.

I love both Leslie's and your version of the beautiful cardinal on a branch! The snow splatters and watercolor wash around the bird add a great sense of winter cold!

I saw this gorgeous man in red this morning as I was getting ready for church and thought I needed to make sure I got back in to tell you what a gorgeous plumage you had graced him with. He’s a beauty, Brenda!

Nothing says winter joy better than a cardinal! You've painted him superbly. I love the grey wash in the background. Gives it a cold winter feel. He's a perky fellow and a welcome sight!
