More details on my blog: Layers of ink
I wanted the landscape to look a bit like a hill from the side, with the trees climbing higher towards the right-hand edge. I always add words to my projects, but in this case I decided to skip it, in order to only get that frosty and glittery feel. The project is very glittery, which you might not see on the photos since it was overcast when I took them. The canvas is 5.5x8 in.
Coat the canvas with gesso. Die cut the trees from watercolor paper and coat with gesso. Add Opaque Crackle Paste to the sky. Let dry and then paint with watered-down Distress Paint.
Paint the trees and mist with water. Leave some of the trees white. Glue the trees to the background. Add a thick layer of texture paste as snow, with a tiny bit of blue paint towards the front. Cover with Rock Candy Glitter. Add some paste and glitter to the trees too.
Die cut the stars from white glitter paper and glue to the sky.
Thank you so much for looking!
Happy stamping!
