I got this idea from a recent IC challenge piece and I can't seem to find the link for it..oh well. I sketched the feathers then painted with watercolors. I then outlined the feathers in black and added splatters. The lightweight gold wire is from some I got to make jewelry....never did do a lot of that but it makes a good embellishment on cards.

Super sketching of the feathers and I love the fun, eclectic paint job. The gold wire has a wonderful way of tying it all together and adding some shimmer & shine, too.

You did a beautiful job on your feathers. I love the colors. I recognized this right away. It's from IC941 and one of the pictures that I had included on my write up.

OMG, Polly! I love your original artwork. Love the style of the watercolor too! I laughed about your jewelry making supplies. I realized a couple years ago that I like buying beads a whole lot more than I like making jewelry. I should pull out my wire for cards!
