Today's challenge was an easy winter landscape with a new technique of "unpainting" the moon with a magic eraser after the whole BG was painted. Was I skeptical . . . yes . . . but forged ahead.
I painted in the entire bg let it dry a bit then laid a circle mask where I wanted the moon. I took 2 or 3 VERY GENTLE swipes with a barely damp Magic Eraser and in less than 10 seconds had a moon that took no effort at all.
For anyone who didn't use this method, I whole heartedly encourage you to get a Magic Eraser (the original one with no soap!) and give this a try. I really think this will be the ONLY way I add a moon to my paintings from now on!!!!
Thanks, Brenda, for an AWESOME video.

Linda - I have no idea what a magic eraser is, haven't seen video as been out all day, but this is one lovely moonlit scene. Talking of lovely your sweet snowmen were here when I got home to bring a smile to my day - thank you

Wow, Linda, I am so happy you liked this video. I didn't have a magic eraser and went my usual route to make my moon.. But, this seems to be a fabulous way. Your card turned out to be beautiful and I do love your moon. Love that sentiment, too.

Beautiful winter painting with the cold windy sky and snow. I like how you did the tree shadow along with the thicker trunk. The way she did the moon worked so well with the magic eraser. It is much more fun to use the eraser to do this than using it to clean. Thanks for adding it to the gallery. Like the sentiment.

Linda, I just love your version of this little painting. Your color choices are great and very vibrant. This trick with the Magic Eraser is so effective. For those who have not used one of these, I hope they run out to get some. It is a fantastic product for those inclined to clean!
