Jeanne is hosting the color challenge and the pretty colors she chose are Sweet Sorbet, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist and Petal Pink. The dessert option is to make a fun fold card. My fun fold is a front flap card.
I adhered designer paper to the card base. The front flap panel is 8.5 inches by 3.25 inches and is folded at 4.25 inches and I adhered this to the back panel. I placed an embossed layer of gray cardstock on the flap. A die cut leafy branch was adhered to that panel which gives a place for the die cut chickadee to rest. The sentiment was stamped, clear embossed and die cut. I mounted the sentiment panel partially off the flap for interest. I embellished with black faceted gems.
Jeanne, these colors are just lovely to create with and I know the gallery will be filled with gorgeous cards.

Your DS paper is perfect for this week's challenge and the style of this cute card. Love the chickadee! This type of card is perfect when you don't have a lot to say--just a small space to say hello!

LOVE that background dp you used and that you picked up the gray and embossed it to showcase that pretty little birdie. Wonderful fold and design Rita!

I love how the embossed panel reflects the background paper on the back panel. And the bird is an adorable way to bring the colors onto the gray. Great card!
