This week's Teaparty is for Ruth, a friend of Mac's (mac4551), who could use some happy mail. Our hostess, Pat (casep) has challenged us to send Ruth some Christmas cheer.
The background I used for this card has been sitting around in my stash for a LONG time! I made a bunch of them awhile back using the Wax Paper Cuttlebug Resist tutorial. I thought this one with the big snowflake would make a great background for the nativity scene from my collection of Cricut cartridges that seldom get used.
I applied Versamark to the edges of the wax resist panel, and heat embossed with the Enchanted Gold EP, to give it some sparkle. TFL!

That is a great technique - thank you for reminding me of it. I remember using it for multiple Christmas cards a few years back. It makes a great background for your super nativity scene.

You chose well, my friend, because that big snowflake bg is perfect to show off your fabulous nativity scene. I love the big star shining down on them. The gold trimming is beautiful and does add that bit of sparkle you were going for. Gorgeous card, Liz.

fabulous... I actually have that nativity die, but haven't used it yet. This card is quite exquisite. I have to check out that wax paper cuttlebug resist - I'm really impressed with the result... Just beautiful. Thank you for sending a card to Ruth
