I went out on a limb with this one. I know I send quite a few cards to the USA but as we don't have Cardinals in the UK I went for one of my favourite garden visitors and painted the classic image of a Robin sitting on an old garden spade.

I LOVE your sweet English robin, Janine. The watercolor work on his feather is phenomenal! Really a swwet card with him sitting in the gently falling snow.

Like your take on this challenge with painting what you see in your backyard. The Robin you painted is smaller than ours and they usually stay in the woods during our winters. Terrific handle for the robin to perch. Thanks for adding it to the gallery.

Wonderful painting of your robin and I like he is on the garden tool. We have a lot of robins where I live, too. Love them.

I think this is so lovely, from your vibrant robin to your beautiful soft background! I got right away that he was sitting on the handle, so well crafted! Beautiful card!

When I saw the thumbnail, I knew why you painted a robin. Cardinals are hard to attract, even here. I do so look forward to seeing robins every year, just as cute as yours.
