The challenges today gave me the excuse to make a slightly less joyful card. The family are not religious so their Christmas this year may be tough with the loss of their dad this weekend. I had already written all my cards but thankfully not posted so this replaces a more whimsical one. I die cut the holly and added touches of the gold embossing. Once attached to the card I added red Stickles to all the berries.

Lovely card, Janine. So sad for the family losing their loved one. The gold embossing looks great on the holly tips.

Oh, ack - I hate that sort of situation, I'm glad you were able to replace your more whimsical card with something more neutral but still totally Christmas. Wow, that was a lot of work to emboss each leaf, and so pretty.
I have two friends needing less joyful cards this Christmas, and a work colleague whose elderly dad is currently in hospital.

Janine, the foliage looks so lovely with the added gold, this is a wonderfully designed card and apt for the family you are sending it to. I lost my dear Mum at the end of October so I do understand ~
