For Diane's color challenge of cherry cobbler, shaded spruce and night of navy. I cut the tree from the middle of the 6x6 dsp piece and used a stit. rect die to make the panel. I backed the tree die with shaded spruce. Joy is also doubled up. Added snowflakes that were already lying around on my desk. Added gold shimmer to the joy and gifts but camera does not pick it up.
Also for Ann's November Christmas card challenge. Thanks Diane and Ann for hosting the challenges.

This came together beautifully, Shirl! A great technique to die cut your tree from the middle of your dsp so now you have the matching plaid mat! I like how you placed the little gifts willy- nilly under your tree ... so cute!

Ha, ha! I was going to say basically what Rita above said. I love those little gifts too. What is it about plaid that works so well for Christmas? Your tree looks great!

Awesome plaid tree! Very creative design, matching color combos, and a wonderful selection of die cuts. The Joy is a fabulous finish for this gem...
