Jen (Jennifrann) is hosting this week's Teaparty, and is asking us for Stitching and Flowers to be featured on our cards for Chrylene, who has been going thru some tough times lately.
I have "stitching" on the die-cut frames and the die-cut floral panel, and I also used a real needle and thread and stitched the buttons to the flowers before attaching them to the card. (Speaking of which--sigh, the flowers on the left were NOT supposed to line up on top of one another! Glue dots are very sticky, and once they are attached, they stay attached!)
The background for the silhouette was created by swiping the Soft Sky and Sno Cone inks across a white CS panel. Then I stamped the large silhouette in Mermaid Lagoon, and then the thistle (?) silhouette first with Speckled Egg, then again lightly with Broken China. Stamped the butterflies in Broken China, then die-cut the scene with one of the stitched square dies.
I die-cut the outside frame 3 times with the dark aqua CS, and layered them for dimension to frame the floral silhouette panel.
I did add WOS to the butterflies, but it doesn't show up in the photo.
TFL!

I'm loving all the shades of blue on this beauty. It is giving those silhouette stamps such a lovely, peaceful and restful feel. It's like looking out at nature early in the morning or early evening. Love that. I had to laugh at your statement about the flower placement though. I think we've all wrestled with a glue dot or two. But it looks great and only you would know. Beautiful verse to top off your gorgeous card. Hugs.

This is so pretty...great color and flowers (they look fine..no need to explain glue dot mishap). I really like the verse, too...so many different ones on the cards in our gallery...she'll be so encouraged.
