I often pass on the technique challenge, focusing on the CAS one instead, but my recently purchased Spellbinders Christmas dogs stamps and dies were too perfect for this challenge so I attempted it. My masking skills are usually not up to the task but but after a couple of false starts I was able to make masks from thin vellum for the Polaroid frame and three of the dogs heads. I stamped the three dogs in the foreground, selfie style, and stamped the Christmas tree behind them. I colored and cut out the picture and glued the Polaroid frame over top of the image.
I ran a small rectangle of olive green cardstock through a dotted embossing folder and glued to a Dollar Tree/Hallmark card base, leaving a light pink edge showing. I stamped the bone in the corner of a piece of scrap pattern paper and glued to the card front at an angle. I stamped the paw print on the photo frame and attached over the pattern paper with foam tape. On a scrap of white cardstock, I stamped the sentiment and trimmed the piece down. I added a strip of pattern paper across the tab and glued the tab in place.
I like how the selfie turned out but it was a lot of futzing around and not really worth trying to make in quantity. It will be a one if a kind card, probably for one of my dogsitting clients. But I am glad I attempted the TLC this week!

I'm glad you tried, it's a sweet card and those stamps were indeed perfect.
I did point out in the challenge write-up that masking the frame seemed an unnecessary step to me - after all, you're sticking the frame over the "selfie" anyway. Love the pawprint on the frame.

Fussing and cussing...that is a good way to put it when it comes to techniques. I personally love techniques because they usually are a real challenge. We're glad you joined in this week; too cute.
