This beautiful image of two Major Mitchell Cockatoos has always been one of my favourites. It is a large image and makes a large card. I have had the image for years and always thought it was too precious to cut into and use. After looking through my collection (ha ha ha) of paper pads I saw this one again. Time to use it.
I love these birds. I have very fond memories of looking after two of them for a friend when they went on holidays. They were kept in a very large aviary in the back yard. I used to go around every afternoon and change the water and top up their seed. The lovely couple were called Mitch and Cuddles and used to sit on their perch watching me clean up their home just like these two. That was years ago and I do miss seeing them now.
The card was simply framed with matching colours.
Hope you enjoy.

Oh my goodness I am so thrilled to see this as your chosen image. It is fantastic and a great image for a very lovely card. I love that the image is all this card really needs. I know what you mean about not wanting to cut down some of those papers....oh I have a pile of those. LOL!

Oh Helen! This is a delight to see. I love your story about looking after this pair. We had a little love bird and I was so amazed at how personable this group of birds are.
