Diane's color choices this week are quintessential Fall. I love these rich autumnal colors and can visualize them painted across a sea of trees on a distant hill. So beautiful. And, I thought they would look great with my current favorite technique.
Highlights to make this card: splatter colors on watercolor paper; emboss with ink on the ef; color in the bg with a black pen or Sharpie with a few steps in between. And you don't have to use black. I used dark purple on a recent card and it looked good as well. The detailed instructions are in the write-up for the Technique Challenge here: TLC949 - Embossing Folders with Watercolor - 05/01/2023 by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
Even though I used a leaf EF, this doesn't really scream Fall to me. Still, I love the dramatic effect of these colors with the black. So, will you "Fall" into these tones or go a whole other direction? I would love to see what you create.
P.S. The spicy frame layer and thanks die cut were colored direct-to-paper on Neenah white cs.

Stunning card and to read that you colored in the BG with a black sharpie... I thought you embossed black CS and then colored! this is just a striking card.

Did you mention Rich colors? I don't believe we can see them any richer than right here. Using the black as a bg color, you have taken this up another whole level, Debbie! I'm really loving this new technique you tried. Beautiful results using it for sure~
