Color Challenge: I am delighted to be your hostess this week. My color choices are: Pretty Peacock, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze. The dessert option is texture.
I also made my card for the Falliday Fest challenge hosted by Misti, which is to use a strip of flannel or plaid fabric. A hunt through my stash did not turn up either type of fabric. Therefore, I utilized the Faux Fabric tutorial by Karen Barber, who is on our Color Challenge Team. (I will link the tutorial below) It turned my plaid paper into a fabric look & feel, which in addition gave my card wonderful texture.
This PSX bear is a favorite and I have not used him for a few years. On watercolor paper, I heat-embossed the image for another form of texture. Then I colored with ink & water painter brushes. I did use a few neutrals listed above which is allowed.
The panel was die-cut with a deckle edge for a different texture. I stamped a sentiment at the top. Before popping up on Dimensionals, I wrapped some multi-colored thread around the bottom for more texture. Fun card to make.
I hope you will give the colors a try and show us your ideas. Also, we hope you will consider trying the Falliday challenges.

Diane, your bear is very cute, and beautifully colored--but I'm also appreciating the paper treatment and those multi-colored strings at the bottom. They're my favorite part of this card! Love the greeting, too!

Oh how fun for your piece of plaid dp, Diane. Super Cute image colored so well and an unexpected surprise since I've never seen a bear on a Thanksgiving card before. Thanks for these bright colors this week~

Fabulous! The paper/colors, the adorable bear, and the matching colors are terrific. This delightful design is colored/shaded beautifully. The twine is a perfect detail...

LOVE this, Diane! And I love your alternative to "flannel/plaid" - I asked my husband for a worn out flannel shirt last night, but he couldn't turn one up, so I may be looking to do an alternative myself.
LOVELY card - truly! And YAY for an awesome color challenge! (I love season-appropriate challenges, and this one certainly is!)
