It's been a while since I just sat to play with no plan or assignment... the prompt from this week's Mix-Ability challenge is a color palette, so I started by dripping those colors onto my gel plate. I pulled a piece of plastic from the trash and used it to dab and spread the paints, then took 3 prints from the result. I think this was the 2nd one. I added a few layers of acrylic paint, brayering lightly. The stamp is one I got on clearance from Scrapbooking Made Simple in their last big sale - it's from Carabelle and I didn't have anything like it, so it made me happy and fell into my cart. I stamped it and then added lots of strokes with pencil, paint marker, and a flat brush. The paper scraps are from vintage books (someone gave me a box of pages that had already been cut for collage).
In the lower left corner I rubbed Micro Glaze through a stencil, then brushed diluted paint carefully over it and heated to dry the paint and melt the wax - I have a tutorial on that technique HERE.
