I absolutely loved this week's WCW challenge-created a abstract wc background, watercolor the back of a real leaf and print it on the background. That's it! I happen to have a maple tree in my backyard, still completely green, maybe a silver maple. I have had the Fabriano notecards for years, need to use them.
This is also for this past Sunday's FS-enjoy your week, Loretta. I discovered that I had already saved some of your creations. This is what I cased, as I had the same wood mounted stamp that she used: "Autumn Inspiration" by lorettagrace at Splitcoaststampers
Lastly, for today's WT-how did I get to school? I walked most everyday. I don't remember my dad ever driving me and my mother didn't drive until after I learned to drive. I remember walking home in snow up to my knees, although not uphill! Two of my most favorite things about walking: in the fall, I love to walk through a pile of leaves, kicking them into the air like Linus does in The Great Pumpkin. In the late winter, I love to walk on thin ice that has a layer of water underneath, listening to the ice cracking and seeing the water move underneath the ice. The only time I ever got a ride to school is when my friend Diane had a car when we were seniors.
Thanks for the challenges!

This is beautiful! I love the leaf print and the water color background. Lovely quote, as well. I enjoyed reading your memories of walking to and from school in different seasons; these memories are relatable to me, having grown up in Michigan.

Fab leaf print from your green maple. I really like that quote...I'm watching a lot of old leaves as they tumble to the ground these days. Your school experiences sound a lot like mine. I love doing that ice walking and cracking....did it some last year.

Beautiful leaf print! Love your background. The leaf prints in the gallery remind me of the leaf collections we had to do for school every Sept. I too loved walking to school through the fallen leaves. TFS

Your pressed leaf turned out beautiful and I like the surrounding colors. Really looking like fall.

Super cool, Jean. Love the leaves and your sentiment. There is magic - I totally agree. I walked too. My kids think I am kidding on how far I walked and the weather I walked in (New Mexico with snow in winter and dust devils in the fall), but it is all true. Great card, my friend. Hugz
