While I had my older Spellbinders card kit out, I decided to make a card for this weekâs Featured Stamper, Rae Lynn Aka CreepsMom. I was inspired by this card:
Something I liked about this card was that Rae Lynn used a pretty busy pattern paper as her background. I always have a hard time using dense or busy prints so that was an element I wanted to keep in my card. I kept her overall design including the Christmas tree theme and the oval behind the focal image, but changed the color palette and used printed die cuts from the card kit rather than stamped images.
I cut a piece of dark green cardstock a little smaller than the premade white card and attached the green piece to the card front. I cut a piece of the pattern paper slightly smaller than the green layer and used an oval die to cut a hole in the paper. I glued this on top of the green cardstock. I glued the Christmas tree die cut in the card window, and attached the deer die cut with foam tape. I stamped a Christmas greeting using stamps included with the card kit, in SU Rich Razzleberry ink.
Congrats, Rae Lynn, hope you are having a great week!
