I think perhaps I'll try again with Jean's idea of using more than one colour. I didn't think I had enough shaded of a colour to really make this successful. I tried also with Lovely as a Tree in shades of brown. For this I just added a sentiment, distressed and pierced the edges and put it on a kraft base with score lines along the bottom. It still needed something, but adding any type of embellishment in the bottom right corner seemed like too much, so I ended up just adding a really narrow strip from a piece of Serendipity background that was lying around.

One of my favorite scriptures, Sabrina. Such a pretty card and the trees are such a great symbol of the seasons of our lives and the changes they make though every season. Great choices on this card!

Oh this is so lovely! I really like the shades of gray - I guess it appears to me since it's a very dark gray day here in western CO - a rare and therefore enjoyable experience. Love the added piecing and roughed edges. And the sliver of DP was a brilliant idea to ground the scene.
