This is for yesterday's TLC challenge to make a faux shutter card or fractured card. I followed more the steps in the video that Sabrina linked to add patterned paper in the four sections. Since it is a Christmas card, I thought silver foil would make a good mat and also make the sections.
I simply stamped the sentiment and the holly and colored the holly with SU markers.
Thanks for the challenge, Sabrina, and thanks for looking!

The silver foil adds a great festive trim to those Christmas papers, and using the coloured base is lovely and something I don't often do.
I finally made time yesterday to look at the gatefold shutter cards that I assumed this was the "faux" version of, but since they tend to have a round aperture, I think my original assumption was mistaken! But most faux techniques are based on an original, so maybe some time I'll have more time for trying to hunt it down. Thanks again for your olive card which caught my eye!

Catherine, I live the mix of Christmassy papers. The silver foil is awesome here. I can imagine it is much more impressive IRL, as it does not photograph well. I live the addition of holly below the sentiment.

I don't know how you managed to find four beautiful designer papers that went together so beautifully! Love the metallic lines linked to the matte, this is just beautiful!
