Aren't this week's colors fun -- so tropical and happy. I immediately thought coastal, flowers, tropical island, pineapples; but, after visiting my favorite inspiration site for colors, I landed on hummingbird. It was this cute guy that inspired me: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/617415430159140374/
For my card, I die cut the hummer in white, colored with COPICS and assembled. This is a very easy die to assemble. I wanted a fun whimsical bg, so I channeled our own fabulous Ardyth who does amazing ink blended bgs. (Here's a link to her Gallery if you aren't familiar with her work: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers) Using the flower die cut as a stencil, I ink blended horizonal stripes of my most approximate colors and then Nuvo drops to the flower centers. Added the big scallop frame, which is stacked three times, and a thank you strip and it's done.
Despite how my card ended up, these colors did transport me to a sunny tropical (I"m thinking Caribbean) shore. I hope you will join us this week and be equally transported and inspired. TFL

I just love this card, Debbie! These colors are so gorgeous together; sunny and happy! I love that fabulous hummer die cut and your fun blended flowers background. Also, that big scallop frame is very cool!

Outstanding! You make it sound so simple. It's beautiful in color and design. The hummingbird is the frosting to this design. Love, love, this...
