I've done something similar. I punch mine from shiny magazine images, back with kraft paper, and then punch with tiny punch to create *buttons*. I have added a second layer like yours to a few. This way I can match my *buttons* to my central image.

Thanks for sharing. What a clever idea to use up scraps. How about mounting like the "Card Candy" idea shown at Louisville regional and give as door prize.
