I am not a huge coloring person and don't have a whole lot of stamps that need coloring, but occasionally I do enjoy it, and I happened to get another older Stampin Up set in a recent lot that has one of my favorite fall images -- always wanted this particular stamp. The color combination and ways to use it challenges inspired me to make a card that combined the colors with coloring, and I threw in an old card sketch(SC12) for good measure, though I decided not to tear the edges of the papers.
I broke out the Costume Bears set and stamped the pumpkin bear in black Stazon ink on cream colored paper. I colored with alcohol ink and cut it out in a square that I backed with a larger scrap of older patterned paper. I covered a Hallmark/Dollar Tree blank card with orange paper and layered on the quilt pattern paper. I chose a color close to the "official" neutral mossy meadow for contrast, cut a rectangle from it and attached the image with foam tape. I embellished the piece with ribbon and pearl stickers and glued it to the card front, then stamped the sentiment in the lower right hand corner.
I'm like 20 years late to the party, but I finally have a pumpkin bear card!
