Mary is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has started us off in the mood for autumn with her palette of yellows and golds. The colors are Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Calypso Coral. The dessert option is to add a fourth color and/or pumpkins. I added a medium green (Rustic Wilderness), and several neutral shades.
My card this week comes from the September Hero Arts monthly kit. The stencils in this kit are a bit different from others I've seen, in that you are encouraged to use several different colors on each layer, leaving room for some originality and artistic expression. With that possibility in mind, I was able to blend greens and yellows, corals and browns, etc. to create some pretty color-changing fall leaves. The die cuts out the pattern, leaving an oval center for the greeting. I colored the fall images in the center with Zig markers.
The kit comes with a white lacquer pen. I've never used this type of item, and fortunately experimented on a scrap of cardstock before taking the pen to my almost-finished card. Well, all I can say is this product is going to require some experimenting! My toadstools have white pearls for their dots! A few gems finished off the card.
Thanks for looking! Please give these pretty colors a try, and share your creation in the gallery for us all to admire!

I keep going back and looking at this amazing card done with stencils. The way you created the depth with the shading of the colors is amazing. Usually stencils look flat with not much dimension. This is wonderful. TFS Fav'd
