Remembering a quilt hanging that my mother had in the entry/kitchen of the house I grew up in. It had a carved wood top, a a quilt haning from it, as a backing. The quilt was made from scraps of fabric from sewing our clothing. Diamond shapes of color with black velveteen diamonds making a pattern. Instead of black, I used blue indigo.

Love the layout and colors of your beautiful quilt. I can remember my grandmother making quilts from scraps of fabric we made clothes with. Fond memories.

What a great story and a great card. The diamond pieces are amazing, I love the bright patterns against the indigo. The stitching around the quilt pieces really adds to the effect. This is truly lovely!
