I knew I had a shorebird amongst all the Feathered Friends mini stamps/dies I purchased from Papertrey Ink!
And sure enough - I believe this is a Plover but they call it Feathered Friend #12. I bought this several years ago and this is the first time using it!
I made 8 birds while I was at it and 4 cards like this one - now I have some spare plovers should I want them on another card some day!
I cut a 4" x 5 1/4" panel out of watercolor paper, sponged the sand using Ranger Distress Gathered Twigs and popped the plover up on foam dots.
I sponged around the edges of the panel with Gold Pigment ink and layered it onto a white card base.

I love seeing the plovers on the beach. That would have certainly been a coincidence if you had seen Botanica while at P-town. Love your little plover. Perfect for a note card.

That is a beautiful bird and card. I am not familiar with a plover.
