The torn background piece is wrinkle free distress, using some dark blue and purple distress inks.
I drew each of the leaves and plant pieces with a sharpie, colored with watercolor pencils and water brush, and then fussy cut them out. By having a stash of different sizes, shapes, and colors, I can just choose what fits together nicely.
