Diane is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and I adore the combo she gave us to play with: Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather. The dessert option is a birthday card. Check!
This is the first of two cards I made for this week's color combo. I used my new Bird Party Create in Quads stencils for this card. These sets are amazing--the stencils are sized for a full sheet of cardstock, but there are four designs, and four different stencils to be layered with four different colors. The result is four different card fronts. For my fourth color, I used a neutral, Early Espresso.
It was hard to choose which one to use for this card, but I decided on this single bird. I die cut a rounded rectangle and backed with a piece of Parakeet Party DS paper. I used a birthday greeting from an old SU set and a couple of old punches. The bird and greeting are popped up on some foam tape. Then I added a few gems, and the card was done.
Thanks for taking a peek at my card. This color combo is such fun to work with--please join us, give it a try, and post your creation in the gallery for us all to admire.
