I have missed creating, my stamping stuff is still a mystery but I have moved and thought I could gather enough things to make something for the ABC19I is for indigo challenge. I thought there was enough dark blue to qualify as indigo, one of the ROYGBIV colors.
Some history of indigo: I watched a recent PBS show about blue jeans, which were originally dyed with indigo dyes and learned that we know about indigo because enslaved Africans carried their knowledge of planting and using indigo over to the US. Indigo was often referred to as blue gold and it signified wealth, which is quite a contrast, considering how slaves were treated. And one of the reasons blue jeans are so popular is because of the African American cowboys in the western US. Yes, many cowboys were black. Blue is not a favorite color of mine but I do like darker hues of it.
The reason for this card is also that I'm doing an alphabet challenge with another group and I needed an X card, which is difficult as there aren't a lot of words that start with X. I used Joanne Fink's Zentangle style to create my X. I have no idea how the background was created; once I create something, I forget how I did it.
